Prey 2: E3 2011 Trailer - I think they may have missed the point

Okay, so this year’s E3 was a fantastic event completely filled to the brim with exciting new games, and Prey 2 was no exception to this. Now before I go any further I will say that I found the trailer for Prey 2 to be very entertaining, in fact it even made me start to look forward to the release of it. But that’s when I stopped and remembered that this is supposed to be PREY 2, and I don’t know about any of you out there but I was unable to clearly see anything in this overly cinematic experience that could possibly link back to the original game. In fact the only thing I could think of while watching the trailer was “Mass Effect, Mass Effect, Mass Effect”
, because that’s what it looked like. People may disagree but this is of course just my opinion but what I can be certain of is that no one would think that this so called sequel looks anything like the previous game.

I have no doubt in my mind that Prey 2 will be a fantastic game, but it would appear that the developers have done away with almost everything that made Prey, well Prey. But in truth this probably isn’t a bad thing.

Anyway, keep an eye on the site for all the recent news to do with this title and in the meantime let’s keep waiting for Gears 3.
